I broke up with him because of trust…?

I broke up with my now ex b-friend because of trust. I blve everything was almost perfect but the whole trust issue.I realize people are going to tell little lies, but I kept catching him in more lies that covered up bigger things. Did he cheat? I don’t know. All I know is he lied to me and then I started to realize how easy it was for him to lie to others and it made me uncomfortable.The biggest lie destroyed our relationship 2 mos ago. After he betrayed me, my feelings changed for him for the worst. Because I loved him and wanted us to work out, I gave us a second chance. I thought I would gain those feelings back but yesterday (after praying about us) I broke up with him. I didn’t plan it, I just did. Now I am starting to have this feeling of regret. But why should i feel this way if I know I cannot trust him.

Get over it. You were smart enough to realize that all relationships are based on trust. If there is no trust in a relationship, there is no relationship. The guy sounds like he’ll go anyway the wind blows and don’t care if he has to lie to get there. You are lucky you weren’t married to the guy. Divorces are expensive. You regret that someone you cared about betrayed your trust and is a liar. Not that you would be content still seeing him or being married to him. Pray for him that he may someday see the error of his ways. Pray for you that you get a good man that deserves you and loves you and wouldn’t think of being untrue to you. The Lord said, “forgive them for they know not what they do”, he didn’t say to forget what they did. The 10 commandments say thou shalt not Lie. What other rules, commandments, promises has he broken that you aren’t even aware of? He cast the seeds of doubt, and as you sow so shall you reap. Pray for him don’t morn over him, ok!
